Academy ACL is committed to providing equitable access to our website and online services for all students, families, staff, and community members.
Our ongoing accessibility effort works toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA. These guidelines help make technology accessible not only to users with sensory, cognitive, and mobility disabilities, but ultimately to all users, regardless of ability.
We welcome comments on how to improve our technology's accessibility for users with disabilities, and requests for accommodations to any of our services.
We test our webpages using automated accessibility tools, including the Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool (WAVE) and WebAIM's Contrast Checker, and we remediate issues as they are found. (last tested Jul 23, 2026) Our website currently reports zero WAVE accessibility errors, and we work on an ongoing basis with a web professional focused on accessibility to maintain and improve that standard.
Recent improvements include site-wide color contrast remediation, simplified navigation, descriptive link text that identifies document formats, improved heading structure for screen reader users, and a streamlined, easier-to-scan events page.
We continue to review and improve our site, including our approach to posted documents, as part of an ongoing accessibility plan.
