At this time,
there is no known
K-8 school, private or public, in the Pikes Peak Region that specializes in gifted educational pedagogy;
there is no known
local K-8 school with daily personal learning plans for every single student;
there is no known
central location where information for unique and advanced learning resources is disseminated;
there is no
K-8 gifted educational training model school for preservice teachers; and
there is no known
local program that offers gifted educational techniques to a wider range of abilities without using cut-off scores for admittance.

We are exceedingly grateful for the generous support from our donors to help make Academy for Advanced and Creative Learning (AACL) a reality. Thanks to you, AACL will be known for serving families in the Pikes Peak region, in all the ways listed above in the Charter Application, starting in August for the 2010-11 school year.

- floor pillows with washable covers (for disinfecting and alleviating allergies)
- book shelves (non-easily tipping or able to be anchored to a wall)
- couches that have been thoroughly cleaned, especially for any pet dander or other allergens, and preferably smaller-sized
- light weight banquet-sized folding tables
- quality children's books (fiction and non-fiction)
- maps
- rulers and yardsticks
- playing cards
- dice
- classic family board games (we'll show you the math and other state standards that can be integrated!)
- plastic filing crates
- clipboards
- short and tall empty plastic frosting containers
- 'paint shirts' and smocks
- recycling 'trash' cans labeled with the recycling logo
- Ziploc bags- quart and gallon-sized
- Books, classroom supplies and supplementary materials
- Classroom furniture
- Computer and technology acquisition and set-up
- Cleaning supplies and paint for the school building and classrooms
- Printing a variety of informational, enrollment and classroom materials
- Storage for equipment and supplies prior to building occupancy
- Local television, radio and internet ads to inform families about AACL
- Legal expenses to ensure AACL’s forms and processes comply with all applicable laws and requirements.
